- What is FECAFAMM?
FECAFAMM is the Catalonian federation of associations of relatives and people with mental health problems.
The Federation was created through the associations' initiative and was established in 1996 with the aim of combining efforts in a common organization. It is currently made up of 44 federated entities which represent 4,000 families in all and directs its activity over the whole of Catalonian region.
The Federation's aim is to coordinate and give support to the associations of relatives and people with mental diseases in Catalonia in order to contribute to an improvement in the quality of life of people with mental health problems and their families.
The associations of relatives and people with mental health problems carry out a task consisting of giving support, information and assessment to the families, together with raising public awareness and claiming the rights of people with mental health problems, simultaneously creating and managing resources and services for these persons and their families.
- Who are we?
General Assembly
General Assembly is the Federation's sovereign unit; it is constituted for all the entity partners.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is the Federation's unit whose purpose is to develop the Federation's policies and to be the partners' periodic meeting place in order to analyse the problems of the sector.
Executive Assembly
The Executive Assembly is the registered unit of the Federation's management, whose purpose is the routine management, the representation and administration of the Federation.

AWARENESS
Public awareness actions regarding mental disease, aimed to obtain the necessary rehabilitation and integration resources for people with mental disease and on the knowledge and acceptance of this disease by society.
COORDINATION IN THE REGION
Coordination actions with the entities and/or social, medical, political organizations, etc. present in the territory where every association belongs, in order to perform the communitarian care received by the population they represent.
